Home & Garden Landscapes has a wide variety of cold-hardy bamboos suitable for Zones 7 and Zone 6. We have machine-dug clumps of mature canes that range from 0ne cane to bamboo clumps weighing several thousand pounds. Our cold-hardy bamboos can handle the colder regions of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersery, New York and Southern Connecticut. Cold tolerances range from O’ F. to – 20′ F. We have specimen quality bamboos of the hard to find Japanese Timber Bamboos as Vivax as well as 28 other cold-hardy varieities.
With extensive experience digging and transplanting mature bamboos, we have assisted many clients in using bamboo for their screening and/or aesthetic needs. In the instances where bamboo is not an appropriate choice, we work with our clients to find a substitute which is better suited to their specific circumstance. One of the most impressive bamboos, this is the preferred building material in much of Asia. These grand and graceful groves are perfect for a screening or the Japanese garden.
On the East Coast, this will grow from coastal New York southward to the Gulf Coast. Japanese Timber Bamboo has extremely strong and durable culms resistent to breakage due to snow and ice.
