In today’s world, the need for instant screening solutions is greater than ever. Smaller lots, a yearning for privacy, and the unfortunate trend of developers eliminating all native vegetation have amplified the demand for immediate privacy screens. Moreover, the over-planting of Leyland Cypress, which often leads to long-term issues and decline, has left many homeowners suddenly devoid of their cherished privacy.
Whether it’s due to a new construction next door or the loss of an existing landscape screen, this abrupt invasion of your seclusion can be unsettling, impacting your quality of life.
At Home & Garden Landscapes, we specialize in providing mature, specimen-quality landscape materials that offer immediate screening, regardless of your property’s sun exposure. Our aim is to deliver long-term screening solutions that cater to the unique needs of each homeowner, ensuring your sanctuary remains undisturbed.
Plants we commonly use in screening projects include broadleaf hollies including Emily Bruner Holly (one of our favorites), Nellie Stevens Holly (considered by some to be the Grand Dame of Southern Hollies) Southern Magnolia, as well as Green Giant Arborvitae, Cryptomeria, Eastern Red Cedar and Canada Hemlock. We work with our clients to find the right solution or combination of solutions to their privacy challenges.

With research and by choosing varieties of plants with more cold tolerance, we used Green Giant, cold hardy Edith Bogue Southern Magnolia, Norway Spruce and collected 12-foot American Boxwoods.
